Management Overview Training

This training is designed for a Leadership Team, managers and key employees to provide a general understanding of:

  • The standard ISO 9001 and the intent of the requirements
  • The Process Approach to business management
  • Required efforts
  • Resulting benefits to the organization
  • Role of Top Management

Essential information as managers assess associated costs/benefits of implementing the international business system standard.

Timing: 1/2 day or 1 day session

Initial System Assessment

  • Assessment of current practices and documentation against the requirements of the standard.
  • Identification of existing "gaps".
  • Reporting of system nonconformities and recommendations on how to address.

Timing: 2-4 days, based upon business systems scope/complexity

Documentation Workshop

This workshop is designed for those individuals involved with identifying and designing the organization's business processes.

  • Emphasis is on a straight-forward, streamlined approach to process-focused documentation which addresses all applicable requirements.
  • Includes Process Mapping and other interactive exercises.

Timing: 1 day

Documentation Support

  • Customized to suit the clients' needs.
  • Options include: interviewing/documentation development; providing of sample/template documents; documentation review.

Timing: At the client's discretion

Internal Auditor Training

  • Combination of classroom training and practical auditing designed to enable auditors to successfully audit the business system for conformance and effectiveness.
  • Focuses on: the requirements of the standard; effective auditing techniques, "the process approach", audit planning and documentation.

Timing: 3-4 days  -- total: 2 days of classroom training; 1-2 days for practical audits based upon the number of auditors.

Internal Auditing

  • Internal audits planned and conducted by the Innovative Quality Solutions lead auditors, in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001  and other applicable requirements.
  • Process approach to auditing, focusing on system conformance and performance improvement.

Timing: Dependent upon system complexity and number of processes.

Pre-Assessment

  • "Practice" audit against the requirements of ISO 9001
  • Conducted by our registered lead assessors.
  • Deliverable: Audit report, including findings and recommendations for use by the organization in preparation for a successful registration audit.

Timing: 2-8 days, based upon scope/business system complexity

Implementation Support

  • Practical guidance and employee training
  • "Hands-on" assistance and support
  • Sharing of "best practices," lessons learned
